THE GIRL WITH A RED HAT!

Hello, hello world, it’s a while I don’t stay put and write something on my blog, but here I am, and this post is not about Vermeer’s painting called “Girl with a Red Hat” but about me :). Even though I love Vermeer’s masterpieces, my favorite from all “The Girl with a Pearl Earring”, ( just to stay in theme with jewelry :))) mom and dad being jewelry designers), and thankfully sometimes take time to teaches me lot of things including art, I will go the easy way and talk to you about all the crazy beautifully things that happens this days. From Valentine’s Day to the Carnival I really enjoyed each and every moment. So a red hat and a Venetian Carnival mask should be enough to symbolize super cute events in our life. While you all know a lot about Valentine’s Day here I found some interesting things and stories about the significance of the Venetian Masks.

I am an appassionate reader even thou I’m only 9 years old, I am curious by nature so always asking parents and people I get to know lots of questions. So don’t be surprised if one day I we will meet you and I will give you the third degree.

So “The Girl with A Red Hat” is about me just taking a walk in my beautiful city of Florence, taking pictures for my blog and for you. All this now that the weather allow us to enjoy some nice days after long and hard winter. But from now on days are longer and places to visit in my beautiful country are a lot so, who knows, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day could be a good excuse to make a little trip and get to see new places. But let me tell you a secret, on 19th of March mom and dad will celebrate one year of marriage even if they’ve been together for the past 11 years. Decided to get married only last year on Father’s Day. Do you want to see them?

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So here we are, just a day more and it’s finally Christmas!

It’s my favorite time of the year as the colors, the sounds, the smell are all so great and different. Hope Santa will be kind with me, and just in case I’ve done something wrong, hope he will forgive me. It was really an amazing year, full of joy and happiness. My parents got married, a moment I will cherish forever, I got to travel and see amazing places like, made my first caribbean cruise, learn to swim like a pro, and also just a few days ago I’ve made my first confession in front of God. What a feeling! I dropped a few tears, but on the other hand it’s something natural, this mix emotions excited and scared me at the same time. So now I’m happy to celebrate Christmas waiting for Baby Jesus with my heart pure and full of hope.

Hope for all us to have a better life and all the bad things in the world just magically disappear!

This is the most important gift Santa should let us under the tree!

And because it’s Christmas, let’s just talk about joyful things. Like this photo shooting I’ve made with my dear Kamille! Isn’t she adorable!? She pose like a pro, it’s super fluffy and she likes biscuits and salmon.

George Town – CAYMAN ISLANDS

Here we are at George Town. I am not going to talk to you about fiscal paradise and banks from the Cayman Islands 🙂 first because for sure my pocket money don’t need to be conserved as I always take care to invest them in all kinds of toys, sweets and clothing and second because there are things much interesting to do like swimming with dolphins and make new friends like the lady Iguana .

But pay attention, you might get in “HELL”… 🙂 Oh, yeas walking around you’ll find this strange place that is just an Post Office, but the sensation you get is that you arrived at the end of the world.

Keep your eyes open! :))

NYC THROUGH MY EYES – #2

Have you ever felt the chills for a story you only heard about? That’s what happen to me seeing this place. 9/11 National Memorial is this amazing place where in the past used to sit the Twin Towers. The photo speaks for themselves. Touching all the names written in the stone was like touching each and every person’s hand. There is some incredible feeling of sadness and hope in the same exactly moment.

Long time no see! I have to tell you the true, third grade is not easy. Even so I love school, I have full agenda, so lately didn’t have much time to spend writting on my blog, but I promise I’ll catch up!

Oh yeah, mom and dad meanwhile got married . And for sure I’ve been so so happy! First because I was waiting for this for such long time, and second I was sure I will benefit from it. Don’t understand me wrong, but I don’t think a honeymoon can harm somebody! LOL

Oggi vi porto ad ALBEROBELLO, meraviglioso paese della Puglia in provincia di Bari. A prima vista ti viene istintivamente da dire che sembra il paese dei puffi. Con queste meravigliose costruzioni uniche al mondo chiamate Trulli, Alberobello, cittadina visitata da tutto il mondo è patrimonio Unesco.
Fare un’esperienza passeggiando fra i vicoli stretti rimane una cosa indimenticabile. Dai negozi alle abitazioni, ristoranti, alberghi: qui tutte le costruzioni rispettano le leggi di una l’architettura assolutamente originale. La forma a cono di ogni costruzione a pietra viene detta Trulli. L’insieme di questi caseggiati, visti dall’alto, appare come un panorama quasi fiabesco.
E se volete assaggiare le prelibatezze locali, derivanti ovviamente da cucina squisitamente pugliese, non potete soffermarvi che da Domenico, ristoratore e titolare del famoso locale Aratro. Vi garantisco che ci si sente come in famiglia. Anzi, sono felice di approfittare dell’occasione per ringraziare lui e il simpaticissimo personale che dopo avermi accolta come una reginetta mi hanno saputo coccolare con un pugno di deliziosi confetti al cioccolato.

To experience walking among the narrow streets is something unforgettable. From shops to homes, restaurants, hotels: here all the buildings respect the laws of a totally original architecture. The cone shape of each building in stone is called Trulli. All these blocks, seen from above, looks like a fairytale landscape.
And if you want to taste the local delicacies, obviously stemming from purely Apulian cuisine, you can not linger that Domenico, restaurateur and owner of the famous local plow. I guarantee you that it feels like family. Indeed, I am happy to take this opportunity to thank him and the very nice staff who after welcoming me like a queen I have been able to cuddle up with a handful of delicious chocolate sweets.

WIND IN MY HAIR

Mi hanno insegnato a non temere il buio, il vento, la pioggia, il temporale. Sono stata istruita secondo regole semplici ed efficaci: dire sempre ciò che penso e di fare ciò che sento; prendere la vita così come viene, ma di dare sempre il meglio. Come una nave in mare aperto alla deriva, così è il nostro destino, incerto… Ma una certezza l’abbiamo ed è questo stesso istante… Cogliamo il meglio di ogni attimo!!!
