Hello, hello world, it’s a while I don’t stay put and write something on my blog, but here I am, and this post is not about Vermeer’s painting called “Girl with a Red Hat” but about me :). Even though I love Vermeer’s masterpieces, my favorite from all “The Girl with a Pearl Earring”, ( just to stay in theme with jewelry :))) mom and dad being jewelry designers), and thankfully sometimes take time to teaches me lot of things including art, I will go the easy way and talk to you about all the crazy beautifully things that happens this days. From Valentine’s Day to the Carnival I really enjoyed each and every moment. So a red hat and a Venetian Carnival mask should be enough to symbolize super cute events in our life. While you all know a lot about Valentine’s Day here I found some interesting things and stories about the significance of the Venetian Masks.

I am an appassionate reader even thou I’m only 9 years old, I am curious by nature so always asking parents and people I get to know lots of questions. So don’t be surprised if one day I we will meet you and I will give you the third degree.

So “The Girl with A Red Hat” is about me just taking a walk in my beautiful city of Florence, taking pictures for my blog and for you. All this now that the weather allow us to enjoy some nice days after long and hard winter. But from now on days are longer and places to visit in my beautiful country are a lot so, who knows, Mother’s Day or Father’s Day could be a good excuse to make a little trip and get to see new places. But let me tell you a secret, on 19th of March mom and dad will celebrate one year of marriage   even if they’ve been together for the past 11 years. Decided to get married only last year on Father’s Day. Do you want to see them?

So here we are, just a day more and it’s finally Christmas!

It’s my favorite time of the year as the colors, the sounds, the smell are all so great and different. Hope Santa will be kind with me, and just in case I’ve done something wrong, hope he will forgive me. It was really an amazing year, full of joy and happiness. My parents got married, a moment I will cherish forever, I got to travel and see amazing places like, made my first caribbean cruise, learn to swim like a pro, and also just a few days ago I’ve made my first confession in front of God. What a feeling! I dropped a few tears, but on the other hand it’s something natural, this mix emotions excited and scared me at the same time. So now I’m happy to celebrate Christmas waiting for Baby Jesus with my heart pure and full of hope.

Hope for all us to have a better life and all the bad things in the world just magically disappear!

This is the most important gift Santa should let us under the tree!

And because it’s Christmas, let’s just talk about joyful things. Like this photo shooting I’ve made with my dear Kamille! Isn’t she adorable!? She pose like a pro, it’s super fluffy and she likes biscuits and salmon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Love swimming and love the seaside. Unfortunately once fall arrives in Italy bye-bye swimming, but even thou, I just love taking long walks, watch the water, playing with the waves. I just wait long the seashore and run once the waves came close to my shoes in order not to get wet. The best photos one can make during this period. You can find sunny days, as well as rainy ones, foggy days and colorful one.

I am not gone talk about best ways to photograph children, I just want to make you smile once you hear all the funny things mom and dad has to do to take me pictures. We all love pictures, love to see the final effect, but going to the process, it’s not something we all like.  I am very impatient normally so I am a trouble maker. My poor parents, sometimes just lost patient with me. However, there are some tricks they discovered during time that I have to be honest, makes of me the best buddy for photo shooting sessions. 🙂 So maybe can work with you as well:

1. THE PROMISE – oh, yes, that’s the best one, no promise, no photo. I am mean, I know, but what can I do, just a great photo at the end of the day for a nine years old (by the way starting 17 of October I turned 9 :))  is not very fulfilling. So “the promise” is the best I can get. And what is this “promise”? As you can imagine is the promise they take me to the park, or buy me a present, however something more consistent and relevant for me.
2. Making fun of Tweety. You know, Tweety from Baby Looney Tunes. I have Tweety since I was 2 years old, and even if he or she (still have no idea if is a he or a she :)) become a rug, suffer several sewing surgeries, and had to put him gloves as used to munch it on a daily base, I still keep it with me. So mom and dad always make funny comments about Tweety that makes me relax and be more cooperative.
3. Never ask your child to pose. I AM VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS! Not all of us were born models, so please don’t make children look like grown up. Most of us will end up making funny faces and show body positions appropriate for the best hilarious calendar. We just need to relax, play, run, dance. And you’ll see you’ll end up with the best photos.
4. Keep the camera on constantly. So be aware you have full battery. You never know when we’ll strike a pose that you’ll want to immortalized.
5. JUST HAVE FUN! AT THE END IS ALL ABOUT THIS! HAVING FUN AND SPEND QUALITY TIME TOGETHER.
